Terms of Service

1. Who we are
These terms govern your use of the StoryEntry mobile app, operated by [TODO: legal entity], reachable at [TODO: email]. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use StoryEntry. By creating an account you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the phone number you sign up with is one you control.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for everything that happens through your account, including SMS-verified sign-in. Don't share your phone or let others verify codes on your behalf.
- One account per person.
- You can delete your account in-app at any time ("You" tab → Delete my account).
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the recordings, prompts, and other content you create. By posting content into a conversation, you grant us a limited license to host and deliver that content to the recipients you choose. We don't claim ownership of your stories.
You're responsible for what you record and send. Don't:
- Record or share other people without their knowledge or consent.
- Share content that violates someone else's rights.
- Use the app to harass, threaten, defraud, or harm anyone.
- Send sexually explicit content involving anyone, especially minors.
- Send spam, scams, or commercial solicitations.
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
5. Other users
You're choosing who to share with — we don't moderate private conversations except when reported. Treat people the way you'd want to be treated. If someone makes you uncomfortable: block them or report them via the conversation menu.
6. Curated prompts
The prompts in the "Ask" tab are written and curated by us. You may use them in conversations with friends and family. You may not redistribute the prompt catalog outside the app.
7. Service availability
We aim for the app to be available, but we make no promise of uptime. The service is provided "as is." Recordings stored in the app should be considered convenience, not archival storage — if a recording is irreplaceable, keep your own copy.
8. Termination
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm other users. You can terminate your account anytime by deleting it in-app.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryEntry's total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to USD $50 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [TODO: state/country]. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [TODO: jurisdiction].
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
